Golden Khomsa contest 2013

The golden Khomsa contest, which returns after two years of absence, was held Saturday night at the headquarters of “Utica”, Tunis, and rewarded the best current Tunisian crafts in the field of traditional dress.

The artisan Dalila Rashidi won the 1st prize of gold Khomsa 2013 of an amount of 6,000 dinars, with a traditional dress in embroidered "hayek".

2nd prize (4,000 dinars) was awarded to the artisan Rafika Nsir, who designed a dress, which the harmony of the cut and color on fabric "kamraya" is elegantly married to wires of masculine
burnouses and "jebba".

3rd prize (3,000 dinars) was won by Hajer Bouraoui for the creation of a girl garment combining jeans and hand embroidery.

 

The prize dedicated to the training centers schools in clothing was not awarded by the jury, who merely granted an incentive award for the sectorial clothing training center of La Goulette.
